This Department covers the fields of electrical engineering (energy and the environment), electrical engineering (electronics and devices), information communications engineering, and peripheral areas. Curricula have been created so that it is possible to progress towards any of these fields. In addition, in order to support the development of interdisciplinary academics in recent years, the Electrical/Electronic Information Engineering Course (JABEE Course) is available as a course that fosters international human resources with planning and judgment capabilities. This course has been certified as an educational program for engineers by the Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (JABEE), and its enriched education and research facilities and detailed guidance and support of students are highly regarded.

  • Solidify the basic skills common to the fields in students' first and second years.
  • Carry out in-depth learning of the students' fields of specialization in their third year.
  • Form a link with research on cutting-edge technology through graduation research in students' fourth year.

In the JABEE Course, students acquire comprehensive capabilities and planning skills that are balance among the fields.

Electrical/Electronic Information Engineering Course (JABEE Certified Course)

This is a comprehensive course that was established for the purpose of cultivating engineers and researchers who have acquired basic knowledge in the three fields of “energy, control and the environment,” “information, communications and computers” and “electronics, physical properties and materials,” as well as deep knowledge on their fields of specialization. It has been certified as a JABEE Course Program by the Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (JABEE).
