Message from the Director
The Organization for Research Promotion was established in April 2015. Its aims, in light of
science
and technology policies in Japan and social and economic demands on universities, are to offer future
concepts and strategies for academic research at the Tokyo University of Science, and in conjunction
with revitalizing its research organisations, to enhance their academic standards, to set the pace, as
appropriate, for global academic trends and local social trends, and to work collaboratively.
Comprising the Center for Research Promotion, the Research Institute for Science and
Technology, the Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences and the Research Equipment Center, this
organization pursues world-class research that is the trademark of the Tokyo University of Science.
