Delegation Led by the Rector of the University of Turin, Italy, Pays a Courtesy Visit to TUS and Holds Discussions Toward the Further Development of Academic and Research Exchange

On June 12, 2026, a delegation from the University of Turin (Italy) led by Rector Cristina Prandi, visited the University's Kagurazaka Campus for a courtesy visit. The University of Turin was founded in 1404 and is one of Europe's most historic universities.

Representing the University were President Masatoshi Ishikawa; Vice President Koji Tamura, who is in charge of research; Kohei Soga, Director of the Organization for Innovation and Social Collaboration; Professor Gen-ichiro Arimura of the Faculty of Advanced Engineering, who is conducting joint research with the University of Turin; and Eiji Watanabe, Director of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization; they welcomed the delegation and engaged in a lively exchange of opinions on the further development of academic exchange in the future.

The participants agreed to collaborate in opening up new academic fields moving forward. This visit is expected to have served as an opportunity to deepen collaboration between the two universities.
