At the 17th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition held in Italy, the Golden Lion for Best National Participation was awarded to the national pavilion exhibit of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), for which architect Kenichi Teramoto was a co-curator.
Mr. Teramoto began his career in architecture after receiving a master's degree in architecture in 1999 from the Department of Architecture in the Tokyo University of Science Graduate School of Science and Technology, and he currently serves as the representative officer at "office of teramoto." At the 17th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition held in Italy, Teramoto and architect Wael Al Awar, co-founders of the Dubai and Tokyo-based architectural firm waiwai, were co-curators for the national pavilion exhibit of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which was awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation.
