Officials from Canada's University of Victoria visited the Tokyo University of Science (TUS) on May 27 (MON), 2019. In AY2016, TUS launched its "Victoria Program" as one of the university's summer foreign language training programs. TUS students have since participated in the University of Victoria's "English Language and Culture Program." Students have been very satisfied with the program. In the past TUS students had participated in the program during the summer. However, scheduling did not align this academic year and so TUS students will participate in the spring program. Director Watanabe of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization and others met with the visiting officials on May 27 to confirm content for the planned spring program. Meaningful opinions about potential research and student exchanges between the universities in the future and other topics were shared.
This visit is expected to help further develop exchanges between the two universities.
