Undergraduate Students from Dalian University of Technology Visit the TUS

Japanese

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 21 students majoring in optoelectronics at the Dalian University of Technology visited the Kagurazaka Campus, together with two supervising faculty members.

After a welcome message by Director Watanabe of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization, explanations on the Tokyo University of Science were provided by Devendra Narayan, Manager of the International Division. The venue was relaxed after Director Watanabe's greeting address in Chinese, and the gathering progressed with a warm atmosphere from start to finish.

Next, a short class on research areas (optical properties) by Professor Tokunaga from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science Division 1 was held in English, and the students listened intently. Afterwards, the students toured the Tokunaga Laboratory and campus, and headed towards their next destination with satisfied faces.

TUS has concluded an academic cooperation agreement with the Dalian University of Technology, and has a track record of short-term student exchange (dispatching/welcoming).
