On March 24, 2022, the THE Japan University Rankings were released, focusing on the educational strength of universities in Japan.
The rankings are comprised of four key measures, in particular "Engagement," for which TUS was ranked 13th (5th among private universities), and "Outcomes," for which TUS was ranked 15th (3rd among private universities).
These results show a high regard, both inside and outside the university, for TUS' robust course-related and instructional resources, and the outcomes they produce.
In terms of overall ranking, TUS came in 29th (7th among private universities) two years in a row.

The THE Japan University Rankings are compiled and publicly released by Times Higher Education (THE), a British magazine which reports on higher education, and the Benesse Group for the purpose of promoting educational innovation and globalization among universities.
A total of 273 universities were included in the THE Japan University Rankings.
