On Monday, October 28, 2019, the Deputy Director of the Japan Austria Science Exchange Center (JASEC) at Vienna University of Technology (partner university) made a courtesy visit to the Tokyo University of Science. JASEC is an agency that plays a key role in academic exchanges, including student exchange programs, between the Vienna University of Technology and its partner universities in Japan.
After concluding an agreement in 2015, the Vienna University of Technology and TUS have continued active exchanges, such as exchange programs for graduate students, as well as exchanges of faculty members and researchers.
On the day of the visit, the two universities re-introduced themselves to each other in a friendly atmosphere with participation from Vienna University of Technology students who are currently on an exchange program to TUS, as well as Director Watanabe of the Center for Promotion of Internationalization, and exchanged enthusiastic opinions about the possibility of future exchanges of students and academics.
Thanks to this visit, there are expectations for further development of exchanges between the two universities.
