On September 15, 2019 (SUN), a 13-member Xi'an Jiaotong University (China) delegation, including a university vice president, paid a courtesy call on the Tokyo University of Science (TUS).
Lively exchanges between Xi'an Jiaotong University and TUS have continued since the two school concluded an agreement in 2009. These exchanges have included instructor / researcher level research exchanges, joint research conducted by graduate students, and undergraduate short-term study abroad programs.
This delegation came to Japan this time with the objectives of extending invitations to talented personnel to visit their university and strengthening ties with those universities where agreements have been concluded.
The delegation was welcomed by TUS President Yoichiro Matsumoto, Vice President Soichiro Okamura, and instructors who have established strong relationships with Xi'an Jiaotong University. Amid a very harmonious atmosphere, the two side enthusiastically exchanged opinions about the potential for student and academic exchanges in the future.
This visit is expected to contribute to the further development of exchanges between the two schools.
