Group of 31 Students from Mongolia Visit the TUS through JENESYS2018 Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On March 12, 2019 (Tuesday), a group of 31 high school students who were here in Japan from Mongolia through JENESYS2018 organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Tokyo University of Science's Kagurazaka Campus.

On the morning of their visit to TUS, the students received a welcome address by Devendra Narayan, Manager of the International Division, as well as an explanation of the University. The participating high school students actively listened to the explanation.

Afterwards, a trial lesson was carried out by the Kawamura Lab of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science Division 1, and the visiting students participated intently in the experience-based class using compact wind turbine generators.

For lunch, the visiting students enjoyed a networking lunch with the Kawamura Lab, during which they ate with Professor Kawamura and students from the research group and shared lively conversations.

After lunch, the students visited the Museum of Science as part of a tour of TUS facilities. They browsed a variety of exhibits and learned experientially about the establishment of modern science, such as the history of computers.

The participating high school students, who never lost interest, enjoyed an enriched period of time from the beginning to end of their visit, and left the University with smiles on their faces.

JENESYS2018
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The objective of JENESYS2018 is to promote understanding between Japan and various countries/regions in Asia and the Pacific related to politics, economy, society, culture, history, foreign policy, etc. by inviting and dispatching human resources who have the ability to communicate externally and who are bearers of the future, scout out those who are knowledgeable about Japan, strengthen external communication by having those who were invited and those who were dispatched actively communicate the diplomatic stance and appeal of Japan, and improve the diplomatic foundation.
