On Monday, May 8, 2017, the Director of the English Language Centre, University of Victoria visited TUS. A new English Intensive Language Study Abroad Program called the "Victoria Program" was launched at TUS in the 2016 academic year, and TUS students have started to participate in the summer English language course "Language and Culture Program" run by the English Language Centre since then.
Among the subjects discussed with the Director of the TUS Center for Promotion of Internationalization during the visit were the content of this year's program, and comparison between students in Japan and other countries in terms of English language abilities and approach to language learning.
It is hoped that this visit will serve as a foundation for deeper and more robust exchange between TUS and the University of Victoria.
