On September 24, 2008 a group led by the Vice President of partner institution Jaen University, Spain visited the Tokyo University of Science.
Tokyo University of Science and Jaen University entered into an academic exchange agreement on October 3, 2007. Based on this agreement, both institutions will promote a collaborative relationship through the following activities:
- Faculty exchanges
- Student exchanges
- Planning and implementation of academic cooperation
- Exchange of academic information and publications
- Promotion of other academic activities
An explanation was provided on the handling of Tokyo University of Science students wishing to study at Jaen University and there was a lively discussion about the future possibility of a double degree system and other items. Jaen University has been actively sending students to the Tokyo University of Science and two of their graduate students will be admitted to study Managerial Engineering for a four-month period between October and January of next year.
