Tokyo University of Science 21st Century COE Program: 3rd International Symposium

The Tokyo University of Science's 21st Century COE Program, which has been implemented for 5 years, is now entering its final year. On Monday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 11, 2008, the 2-day 21st Century COE Program 3rd International Symposium on "Promotional Bases for Leading Architectural Fire Safety Engineering Research" will be held, and the results of the program will be reported on at this symposium.

In Part 1 to be held on the first day of the symposium, there is planned to be a report on tracing the 5 years that this program has been implemented, as well as on heading towards the future. In Part 2 to be held on the same day, there will be keynote lectures on the central theme of "Building "Center of Excellence" of Research & Education for Fire Safety Science, and Developing a Global Network" by leading experts in fire research and education from various parts of the world. In Part 3 to be held on the second day, there are plans for approximately 30 oral presentations on reports regarding the latest research results on fire safety engineering from all over the world, starting with a keynote lecture. We look forward to seeing a lot of participants.
