On March 16, 2007, the Tokyo University of Science concluded an academic exchange agreement with Lund University in the field of fire safety engineering.
Founded in 1666, Lund University is Sweden's top institution for higher education. It is the only university in Sweden to offer a curriculum in fire safety engineering.
Under this agreement, TUS and Lund University will pursue academic exchange through:
-Researcher exchanges
-Student exchanges
-Planning and execution of joint research
-Exchange of academic information and publications
-Pursuit of other forms of academic activity
