On Monday, October 2, 2017, a delegation from Germany's Free State of Thuringia paid a courtesy visit to the Tokyo University of Science as part of the delegation's academic research exchange promotion visit to Japan.
The delegation consisted of 12 representatives, including four presidents, from five universities in Germany's Free State of Thuringia (Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Ilmenau University of Technology, Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, Jena University of Applied Sciences). After touring the Katsushika Campus and Kagurazaka Campus, the delegation met with President Fujishima, Executive Director Okamura, Center for Promotion of Internationalization Director Shinotsuka and other administration and faculty members to discuss opinions and ideas about facilitating academic research exchange between Japan and Germany.
