Tokyo University of Science opened its Katsushika Campus in April 2013. The campus houses educational and research activities for departmental groups with a focus on interdisciplinary research and community collaboration. In addition, the vast and spacious site of the new campus is integrated with plans for a park in Katsushika-ku, with an "academic park" design that includes a library, gymnasium, cafe, convention center, and other facilities. Positioned between the Kagurazaka and Noda campuses, the three campuses are working together to promote accelerated academic development as well as making significant social contributions.
