TUS Ranks 12th in Japan (3rd among Private Universities) in "THE University Impact Rankings 2021"
In “THE University Impact Rankings 2021” announced on April 21, 2021 by the “Times Higher Education”, a UK education journal, the Tokyo University of Science (TUS) ranked 12th among universities in Japan (3rd among private universities in Japan).
THE University Impact Rankings are global rankings that measure the “ability of social contributions” of universities, and evaluate the state of approaches by each university with respect to each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) put forward by the United Nations.
In particular, TUS ranked 4th in Japan (1st among private universities) for Goal 8 “Decent work and economic growth”; 10th in Japan (2nd among private universities) for Goal 9 “Industry innovation and infrastructure”; and 4th in Japan (1st among private universities) for Goal 12 “Responsible consumption and production”. These results indicate that TUS’ contributions toward society are highly admired.
As a comprehensive science and technology university, TUS will further promote activities oriented toward a sustainable society.
