| 研究・技術内容 | This research tackles the critical issue of language endangerment. The project aims to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for preservation and revitalization efforts. By creating a comprehensive digital corpus of the endangered language centred on traditional livelihood practices, the project will capture not only linguistic diversity but also the rich indigenous knowledge that has been cited as having potential solutions to the planetary crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. This corpus, meticulously annotated and enriched with cultural context, will serve as a foundation for AI-driven initiatives like educational materials and language learning tools. The project aligns with the United Nations' International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032) and contributes to the fields of sociolinguistics, anthropology, and AI studies. Insights from this study will inform similar efforts for other endangered languages, promoting linguistic diversity and safeguarding indigenous knowledge in the world. |
