応用統計の理論に関して学び、統計学の発展的な手法について考える。 Understand the theory of the applied statistics, and try to find new statistical methods. |

| 目的 Objectives |
論文および専門書の学習を通して、応用統計学の理論について理解するとともに、実際のデータ解析を行えるようにする。 本専攻のカリキュラム・ポリシーに定める「研究遂行に必要な知識と経験を修得する」、「自身の研究成果を客観的に評価しかつ正しく効果的に表現する能力を身に付ける」ことを実現するための科目です。 本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める「応用数学の分野において高度な専門的学識と研究能力を持ち、専門分野及び関連分野の諸問題を能動的に解決できる能力」および「数学のもつ基礎と応用の両面の重要性を理解して、科学の発展に貢献できる能力」を養うための科目です。 Understand the theory of applied statistics through various literatures, and use statistical analysis software to analyze real data. |

専門書、論文を用いたゼミ形式で行う。 ［前期］ 文献調査を行い、統計学の発展的な手法について考える。 ［後期］ 得られた結果をまとめ, 論文を投稿する。 Lecturing in seminar for textbooks and articles. [1st Semester] Survey the literature, and try to find new statistical methods. [2nd Semester] Put the obtained results together in the manuscript and submit it. |
