論文および教科書・専門書の輪講を通して、自然言語処理で用いられる技術の背景理論と先端的な手法について学習する。 We study theory and practice of natural language processing by reading papers and textbooks. |

| 目的 Objectives |
自然言語処理の数理的背景と種々の技法について理解する。 本専攻のカリキュラム・ポリシーに定める「研究遂行に必要な知識と経験を習得する」、「自身の研究成果を客観的に評価しかつ正しく効果的に表現する能力を身に付ける」ことを実現するための科目です。また、本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める「応用数学の分野において高度な専門的学識と研究能力を持つことで、論理的・批判的に思考し、専門分野及び関連分野の諸問題を能動的に解決することができる能力」および「専門分野及び関連する分野における諸問題に対処することができるための教養と国際的な視点と対話能力」を養うための科目です。 Understanding the background theories and various techniques of natural language processing. |

論文・教科書・専門書を用いた輪講形式で行う。 研究を進めるために必要な文献の精読およびサーベイを行い、内容を他の参加者が理解できるようまとめて発表する。 The participants will give lectures in turn using textbooks and papers. The presenters are supposed to understand the reading material in detail and give a well-prepared lecture for other participants. |
