Research History
  • 2007 - 2008 Engaged in research on Systemic Functional Linguistics and the use of authentic English language materials, especially how the teacher needs to appropriately broker the materials to the context of Japan.

    2008 - 2010 Engaged in research on Complex Systems and Applied Linguistics.

    2011 - 2013 Engaged in the study of research methods; especially qualitative enquiry in the context of Japan.

    2013 - I am engaged in research that is focussed on Japanese teachers of English and how they are adapting to change brought about by the evolving way in which policy makers view the societal role of English in the era of Globalisation.
