34 High School Students from India, Mongolia, and Laos Visit the TUS based on the Sakura Science Plan organized by the JST
Following a visit on Wednesday, May 24, by another group, on Friday, June 9, 2017, 34 high school students from India, Mongolia, and Laos visited the Kagurazaka Campus as part of the Sakura Science Program organized by the JST.
The objective of the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science ("Sakura Science Plan") organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is for outstanding students from Asia to visit Japan in order for the youth of Japan and Asia who are responsible for the future to deep exchanges in the field of science and technology. The students visited TUS as an educational institution in Japan.
After a welcome speech by Hiroshi Wakasa, who is Senior Manager of the International Division, an explanation was provided on TUS. Afterwards, as they visited the Mathematical Experience Plaza as a tour of the facilities of the Tokyo University of Science, the high school students had a substantial learning, as they voluntarily experienced many exhibits and participated in a lively Q&A session.
