Conclusion of Agreement for Academic Exchange with the College of Science at Zhejiang University (China)

On July 29, 2008, the Faculty of Science Division I and Faculty of Science Division II at the Tokyo University of Science concluded an agreement for academic exchange with the College of Science at Zhejiang University (China).

In the 2008 rankings for Chinese universities, Zhejiang University is ranked third after Tsinghua University and Peking University. It is located south of Shanghai, in the city of Hangzhou, which is the capital of the Zhejiang province. Zhejiang University is a prestigious university with an expansive campus that lies adjacent to the historically famous West Lake. Professor Chen of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering Division I at our university has been continuing exchange for many years, which triggered active exchange in the field of physics in recent years, starting with research on carbon nanotubes. As a result, this agreement was concluded.

- Exchange of information and printed publications
- Other various academic activities,
and will promote the Tokyo University of Science's vision, which is the construction of educational bases of the highest level in the world that possess international competitive power as information bases for research and education that lead the world.
