Signing of an Academic Exchange Agreement with the University of Waterloo (Canada)

The Tokyo University of Science and the University of Waterloo (Canada) concluded an Academic Exchange Agreement on August 13, 2007.

Established in 1957, the University of Waterloo is located in a rural district approximately 100 kilometers west of Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario. With strong science and technology programs, UW is highly regarded as Canada窶冱 most innovative university.

Both universities declare their intention to promote cooperation in research and education in various fields through the following items:

- Exchange of faculty for collaborative research including but not limited to the general fields of Science and Engineering and fire research in particular.
- Exchange of graduate and undergraduate students.
- Planning and execution of academic collaborations.
- Exchange of academic information and publications.
- Promotion of other academic activities.
