The Nano Science Technology Research Center hosts an "International Open Symposium on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology"

The Nano Science Technology Research Center was selected as an Open Research Center Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science, and Technology in 2002. Since then, it has been engaged in pioneering nanoscience and technology projects.

On January 24 and 25, 2007, the Center hosted the International Open Symposium on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" on the Noda Campus to showcase its achievements thus far.

Approximately 130 researchers and graduate students from both inside and outside the university participated in the symposium, which featured guest lectures by researchers who are active on the international stage, results reports by TUS researchers, and presentations by post-doctoral and graduate students.
