International University Exchange Seminar "Manufacturing Technology Supported by Computational Science"

From October 9th to 21st, 2006, an International University Exchange Seminar on "Manufacturing Technology Supported by Computational Science" was held in the Noda Campus Seminar House with the invitation of 12 lecturers and graduate students from Xin Jiang University.

This International University Exchange Seminar is a support project operated by the Japan Student Services Organization in cooperation with the Mizuho International Foundation. It offers support for student exchange seminars held between universities that apply by entering exchange agreements, etc., and foreign universities with a track record of exchanges. In the current academic year there have been 44 applications from 38 universities, 10 of which have been accepted (including that of this university).

The Seminar Opening Ceremony on October 10th was attended by a total of more than 90 persons, including the 12 participants from Xin Jiang University, as well as teaching staff, administrative staff, students and others from this University. On the first day, the Opening Ceremony was followed by the keynote lecture by Professor Mamtimin Geni of Xin Jiang University, on the theme of "Actuality of Resource and Manufacture Using Modern Computational Method and IT in Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, China".
